Add-on: List Number Format

GravityWP List Number Format is a Gravity Forms add-on that turns List Field columns into number columns. Use it for order lines, expenses, hours or any other list of numbers: you choose the number format and rounding, limit values to a range, calculate a column from other columns in the row, show column totals and use column sums and row counts in other calculations.

What you can do with List Number Format

  • Number format per column: point decimals (9,999.99), comma decimals (9.999,99) or currency, in single-column and multi-column List Fields. Other columns stay plain text.
  • Rounding: up to 5 decimals, rounded closest, up or down, with Fixed point notation to keep trailing zeros.
  • Range: a fixed minimum and maximum, or in multi-column List Fields a Min Formula and Max Formula based on other columns in the same row.
  • Column totals: a total row at the bottom of the list, also shown in the entry, in {all_fields} and in Gravity PDF documents.
  • Row calculations: a read-only column calculated with a formula, for example quantity times unit price.
  • Calculation merge tags: {List:1.2} for the sum of column 2 and {List:1} for the number of rows, in Number field formulas. Gravity Forms calculates them again on submit, so payment add-ons such as Stripe get the correct amount.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I format some columns of a List Field and leave others as text?

Yes. You enable number formatting per column, so a List Field can mix number columns with plain text columns.

Can I change the number format later?

Only while the form has no entries; after the first entry the Number Format setting is disabled.

Can I use the total of a List column in another field?

Yes. Use a merge tag such as {List:1.2} in a Number field formula to get the sum of column 2 of List Field 1, or {List:1} for the number of rows.
