Fixed Point Notation

Fixed notation to the precision set in the decimal places. For example, 2.5 in with a 5 decimal rounding is shown as 2.50000.

When enabled the number of decimal places will always be shown, even if it’s zero.

Enable fixed point notation

  1. Select the Number field and check Round the Value.
  2. Set Rounding to decimal places to 1 or more. The Fixed point notation option is hidden when it is set to 0.
  3. Check Fixed point notation.

Where the fixed decimals are shown

Fixed point notation only changes how the number is displayed: in the field, in the slider output, in the entries, in field merge tags without a modifier, in GravityView and in Gravity PDF. The entry stores the rounded number without the extra zeros, so {Price:1:numeric} returns 2.5. See Formatted values in entries, merge tags, GravityView and Gravity PDF.
