Dynamic labels on entries, notifications and GravityView
When a dynamic form is submitted through a link with the dynamic_label parameter, Dynamic Labels stores the decrypted source reference with the entry. A Gravity Flow workflow can store it too. Everywhere the entry is shown afterwards, the fields use the labels of that source entry, so each answer stays next to the question that was asked.
Entry detail page
Forms → Entries → (entry) shows the field labels from the source entry. The entry information box adds:
- Dynamic Label Source: the name and ID of the source form
- Match Method: Entry ID or Unique Value
- Source Entry ID with a link to the source entry, or the Match Value for unique value matching
The stored value is also available as the entry meta Dynamic Label Value, for example as a column in the entry list.
Notifications with {all_fields}
{all_fields} in notifications and confirmations lists the fields with their dynamic labels, so an email to a reviewer shows each grant’s check questions with the answers.
GravityView
In GravityView views of the dynamic form, field labels of an entry come from its source entry. Column headings in a table view, which belong to no single entry, keep the labels from the form editor.
Entries without a source
Entries submitted without a valid parameter, and entries created before Dynamic Labels was configured, have no stored source. They show the labels from the form editor.
