Autocomplete, or word completion, is a feature in which predicts the rest of a word a user is typing. The Autocomplete plugin from MA-group makes it possible for Gravity Forms text fields. Users can press the tab key to accept a suggestion or the down arrow key to accept one of several loaded options.
Use a .json file to autocomplete the Gravity Forms field
The excellent possibility of using .json to load autocomplete values is something that makes this plugin stand out. In comparison with the Bulk Add functionality, .json doesn’t show the answer possibilities in your source html code. As you see, you simply fill in the link to the json file and the plugin handles the rest. A .json file should be structured like this:
You can download an example with all the countries here: Download example JSON file with all Countries
Post Type or Taxonomy from WordPress as Autocomplete List
You can also use the WordPress Post Types or Taxonomies (Categories or Tags).
Manually Add Autocomplete List (Default Gravity Forms function)
You can manually add a list of autocomplete values to be used in Gravity Forms. Try it in the demo above under “Autocomplete with Bulk Add”. The list copied from the example Excel was downloaded here: http://www.businesslistdatabase.com
It works quite the same as the normal Bulk Add functionality. In that sense it is not really of added value, because there is the same function already available in the standard Gravity Forms plugin. Compare the two in the Demo above.
